Required setup
These are mandatory. The overlay can crash or run poorly without them.
- Enable Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling: Settings → System → Display → Graphics → Advanced graphics settings
- Run Discord as administrator, close every Discord process first, then reopen it as admin
- Run normal PowerShell as administrator (not the x86 version and not PowerShell 7)
- Install the latest NVIDIA or AMD drivers, this is required
- Disable your GPU overlay: the NVIDIA Overlay, or the AMD Adrenaline overlay
Turn off or remove
- Do not override DLSS presets
- Turn off NVIDIA Reflex / Ultra / Freelag and the AMD equivalent low-latency input modes
- Turn off transparency effects: Settings → Personalization → Colors
- Turn off auto replay and clipping (NVIDIA, Discord, SteelSeries and similar), it causes GPU drops, input lag and FPS drops
- Do not plug or unplug monitors during injection, as this can crash
- Uninstall FaceIT, Vanguard, ESEA and any other boot-time anti-cheats
Display and resolution
- G-Sync or FreeSync is fine, enable it for both windowed and fullscreen apps
- Any windowed or borderless resolution is supported
- Exclusive fullscreen is not supported, use borderless windowed
General tips
- Cap your FPS to your monitor refresh rate, in your GPU control panel or in-game
- Set Windows for best performance: System Properties → Performance Options → Visual Effects → Adjust for best performance
