You win more in Warzone by playing the early game with a plan, getting your loadout fast, fighting only when it helps your squad and keeping your head in the final circles. Aim and movement matter, but most lost games are decided by landing spot, cash and rotations.
The early game
Choose where to land
Hot drops such as Highrise, Terminal or Stadium give strong loot and fast fights. They suit squads that communicate well and want an early lead. If you want to survive and win, land near the edge of the first circle, close enough to rotate early and loot without being rushed. Watch the plane path and use Recon contracts to learn where the next circle will be.
Get your loadout quickly
Your custom loadout is your biggest early power spike, and it is especially important in Ranked. Scavenger contracts are the safest way to get cash, Recon contracts help with positioning, and Bounties pay more but carry risk. Buy your loadout before the first public drop if you can. Perks like Ghost, Fast Hands and Overkill are worth considering depending on your style.
Pick your fights
Ask three things before you engage: are you plated, is your gun loaded, and is your squad nearby? Take fights where you catch a team in the open or split up, and skip those where they hold the high ground. Surviving the early game is worth more SR than a risky kill.
Gunfights
Movement
Strafe while you shoot, mix in crouches, jumps and sudden stops, and jump-peek corners. Slide-cancelling and drop-shotting help you change direction. Practise them in a casual lobby until they are automatic.
Aim
Set your sensitivity low enough to be precise and high enough to react. Work on three things: recoil control, tracking and flicks. A few minutes of target practice or a bot lobby before you queue is worth it.
Awareness
Good headphones, with footsteps louder than the background, win more fights than most attachments. Read the minimap, UAV pings and small clues like open doors and broken windows, and try to predict where the next rotation will come from.
Play as a squad
- Use short callouts with compass directions: "two pushing left", not "over there".
- Stay close enough to trade kills and revive.
- Retreat together if a third party arrives or the gas closes in.
- Match your teammates' pace. If one player pushes, support them. If one plays slow, do not leave them.
Endgame and SR
In Ranked, the final circles decide your SR gain. Settle your position before the circle closes, hold your utility for the last fights and avoid chasing kills in the open. Calm comms and a patient approach beat panic pushes.
