Modern Warfare 4 on PC: TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot, checked in two minutes

Modern Warfare 4 launches worldwide on 23 October 2026 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. On PC, the beta required TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot to be switched on for Ricochet, Call of Duty's anti-cheat. If your PC is not set up for that, you may not get into the game on launch day, so check both now.

MW4 release date and beta recap

The full game releases on 23 October 2026. The beta ran in two parts: early access from 21 to 25 August for players who pre-ordered on PC, PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, then an open beta from 28 August to 1 September, with Switch 2 players joining on the second weekend (Shacknews, MP1st).

Why MW4 asks for TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot

Ricochet uses these Windows security features to make it harder to run software the game does not trust. During the beta, every PC player had to have both enabled (Khaleej Times). Activision has not said the requirement goes away at launch, so plan for it.

Most PCs built in the last few years support both. They are often just switched off in the BIOS.

How to check TPM 2.0 on Windows

  1. Press Win + R, type tpm.msc and press Enter.
  2. Under TPM Manufacturer Information, look for Specification Version: 2.0.
  3. If it says a compatible TPM cannot be found, TPM is off in your BIOS. On Intel boards it is usually called PTT, on AMD boards fTPM.

How to check Secure Boot

  1. Press Win + R, type msinfo32 and press Enter.
  2. Find Secure Boot State in the System Summary. It should say On.
  3. If it says Off or Unsupported, enable Secure Boot in your BIOS. Your drive must use GPT, not MBR, for it to work.

Change BIOS settings carefully and only the ones named here. If you are unsure, your motherboard maker's manual shows where each option lives.

Playing MW4 with Pandora's Box

Our Call of Duty build is external and runs beside the game, and one key covers MW4 multiplayer and Warzone. You can read what it includes on the MW4 cheat page. When the game patches we push a new build, and if it needs testing first the live status page says so. Check it before every session. If a build needs work after launch, it is paused rather than sold, and paused days are added back to your plan.
