The fastest way to level up in Marvel Rivals is to clear your daily and weekly missions every time you log in, push the Battle Pass, and use AI Training matches for low-pressure XP, since they still count towards your level and mission progress. XP comes from eliminations, assists, objective time and wins, so playing the objective pays off. Ranked mode opens once your account reaches a set level, which has changed over time, so check in-game.

Three things that give you XP

Player XP arrives at the end of every match, based on how you played and whether you won. It raises your account level, which gives you heroes, cosmetics and access to ranked play.

The Battle Pass is a seasonal track filled by missions and milestones. It gives currency, boosters and skins, so it is worth keeping up with.

Hero Proficiency tracks how much you've played each hero and rewards you with cosmetics. It matters more if you plan to specialise.

Ways to level faster

Use AI Training for missions

AI matches count for XP and missions, and the bots give way more room to land damage or assists with a specific hero. They also work as a place to try a new hero without hurting your stats. Don't expect the same reward in every mode, though.

Clear every mission

Daily missions are short and usually done within a match or two. Weekly ones take longer and often ask for specific heroes or damage totals. Make a habit of reading your mission list before you queue, then choose the hero and mode that finish several at once.

Play Quick Match for volume

Shorter matches mean more games per hour. Even a loss gives progress if you play well, since kills, assists and objective time all count.

Queue with friends in Conquest

Coordinated teams win more, and wins pay extra XP. If you can, queue with at least one friend and a hero mix that covers all three roles.

Play the objective

Standing on the point, escorting the payload and staying alive near your team all feed XP. Chasing kills alone does not. Which role you play matters here too, and our Marvel Rivals character guide covers the roster by role.

Once ranked opens up

Once you can queue for ranked, read up on how ranks work first. Our ranking system explainer covers the tiers, placement matches and rewards.

Levelling is slower than people like, and that is by design. If you want to know about our product, the Marvel Rivals cheat page has details. Bans can be permanent, so check the status page before every session.
